Structure Fire in Lebanon City!

12/03/2008 – At 17:30 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist with a structure fire in 300 block of north 11th street in Lebanon city. Upon arriving on scene the rescue was assigned to provide a R.I.T. (Rapid Intervention Team) team. The rescue was on scene for about an hour.

Head-on Crash on the Interstate!

10/19/2008 – Shortly after 21:30 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist with a crash on interstate 81 at mile marker 89 in Union Twp. Responding units were advised by Lebanon county dispatch that this was a head on crash with entrapment. Chief 11(Snyder) arrived on scene and confirmed entrapment and immediately requested 3 additional ALS/BLS units and requested aero-medical to fly. Rescue 10 arrived and began extricating a patient that was trapped in a minivan. Extrication was complete in about 15 minutes and the crew from rescue 10 then assisted EMS with patient packaging. The rescue returned after being on scene for about an hour. Also on scene – Sta.11 (Lickdale Fire), Rescue 75(Ft. Indiantown Gap Fire), Amb.190 (4 Units), Pinegrove EMS, Western Schuylkill ALS, Lifelion helicopter, Pennstar Helicopter.


Engine Company Transfer to Pinegrove!

09/20/2008 – Just before 03:00 hour’s engine 10 was alerted to transfer to Hose, Hook, and Ladder Co. in Pine Grove, Schuylkill County. The transfer was the result of 6 alarm blaze in Schuylkill Haven. The engine was soon joined by other companies from Lebanon County Engine 41-1 (Fredericksburg Fire) and Rescue 47(Bunkerhill Fire).  Special thanks to H.H.  & L. for their hospitality! Company 10 was back in quarters by 09:00 hours!

Another 2nd alarm in Lebanon City!

09/15/2008 – Just after 12:00 hours Engine & Rescue 10 were alerted to assist on a 2nd Alarm structure at 365 N. 12th street in Lebanon. The crews from company 10 were assigned to assist with man power. Co.10 was on scene foe about 45 minutes. Also on Scene – City Fire, Companies 5, 25, 26, 28, 31 and Amb.190.

Residential Spill Control

09/07/2008 – At 00:30 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist with a fuel oil spill inside at a residence at 325 Old Rt.22 in Swatara Twp. Assistant10(Showers) arrived on scene and discovered that a residential fuel oil tank was leaking into a basement with run off into a French drain. The rescue was assigned to plug the leak and perform spill control until the Hazmat team arrived. Crews remain on scene for about 2 hours. Also on scene were crews from – Co.47 (Bunkerhill fire), Co.50 (Lebanon county hazmat), and Amb.190.

2nd Alarm Fire Lebanon City

09/02/2008 – At 04:30 hours Engine & Rescue 10 were dispatched on the 2nd alarm to 642 Walnut St. in Lebanon city. The Engine & Rescue arrived on scene and crews were assigned to assist with extinguishment and overhaul. Engine & Rescue 10 remained on scene for about 3 hours. Also on scene – Lebanon City Fire, Co.5, Co.8, Co.14, Co.25, Co.26, Co.31, CT 49, Amb.190

Auto Accident with Roll Over

07/25/2008 – At 00:30 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist with an auto accident with roll over on Rt. 934 in E. Hanover Twp. Chief 6(Blouch) arrived on scene and advised of a vehicle well off the roadway into a corn field. The rescue was assigned to assist with manpower and lighting. The rescue was back in station about an hour later.  Also on scene were units from - Co.12, Engine 6, Engine 75, and Amb. 190

Auto Accident with Entrapment and House Trailer Fire makes for a busy morning for Co.10

07/20/2008 – Just before 06:00 hours this date a vehicle ran off I-81 onto an embankment near Bullfrog road in E. Hanover Twp. Rescue 10 responded to assist Co.12 with extricating the patient from the vehicle.  Units also on scene – PT 12, Dauphin E-39-1, Amb.190, Medic 12

 Later that morning Box 10-03 was dispatched for 10782 Allentown Boulevard for a structure fire.  Chief 10(Bachman) arrived on scene with smoke showing from a house trailer. Engine 10 was the first in engine and laid a 5 inch supply line and began fire attack and were followed by Engine 10-1 and P.T. 12 who’s crews set up a fold – a – tank operation. Crews made a quick knock down and were clear from the scene in about an hour. Companies on scene – Co. 12, 47, Trk5, Tanker 7, Sq.42, Amb.190.

Commercial Structure Fire

07/19/2008 -Shortly before 18:30 hours Company 10 was alerted to a possible structure fire at the K.O.A. campground on old Rt.22 in Swatara Twp. Engine 10 arrived and laid a 5 inch supply to the structure and the crew stretched a hand line. The fire which was discovered to be originating mainly from the exterior of the structure and affecting the main electrical connection to the building. Crews were on scene for about an hour. Also on scene were crews from Co.47, Co.41, Co.12, and Amb.190.

2nd Alarm Structure Fire in Lebanon City

07/14/2008 – Shortly after 04:00 hours Engine and Rescue 10 were alerted to a 2nd alarm structure fire at 35 S. 9th St. in Lebanon City. Upon arrival the engine and rescue crews were assigned to assist with overhaul and locating hot spots. Prior to our arrival one of Lebanon’s Fire Fighter were injured while performing a rescue of an occupant of the structure. Both were injured during the rescue and were flown to area hospitals by helicopter. During the later phases of the incident an occupant of the building was discovered to have perished in the fire. Our thoughts and Prayers are with all of the families involved and to our brother fire fighter injured while performing one the most unselfish acts known to the fire service!

Also on scene – Lebanon City Fire, Companies 5, 9, 14, 26, and multiple E.M.S. units from through out the county.

Back to back runs for company 10!

07/07/2008 – Shortly after 02:00 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist in Annville at 125 N. Railroad St. with a Structure Fire. Rescue 10 arrived and was assigned to assist with overhaul. The rescue was on scene for over an hour. Also on scene were units from the following companies – 5, 1, 8, 14, Dauphin 48, Amb.190……..After arriving back at station county advised to stand by for a dispatch. Just before 04:00 Hours Company 10 was dispatched to Ft. Indiantown Gap building 12-79 for smoke in the structure. The crew from engine 10 assisted with a thermal imaging camera and cleared the building. Crews were on scene for about 20 minutes. Also on scene were units from companies – 75, 9, 11, 12, Amb.75

Auto Accident with Entrapment

06/27/2008 – Shortly after 18:00 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist Co.41 with an auto accident with entrapment. The rescue arrived on scene and performed the extrication with Co.41 personnel.  4 patients were transported to local hospitals including 2 patients by Life lion aero medical service to University hospital. The rescue returned to quarters about an hour later. Also on scene Co.41 (Fredericksburg Fire), E-40(Mt. Zion Fire), Amb.190 & Medic 12(First Aid & Safety Patrol).

Auto Accident

06/22/2008 – Shortly before 05: 00 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist with an auto accident with possible ejection. Rescue 10 arrived on scene and established incident command. The crew located the patient lying on the ground about 100 yards from the vehicle and began patient care. Crews were on the scene for about 35 minutes. Also on scene Co.12 (Ono Fire), Dauphin county E-39-1 (Grantville fire), and EMS from Co.4 (University Hospital).

Head On Accident

06/16/2008 – Shortly before 15:00 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist company 41 with an auto accident on Rt.22 @ Interstate 78 in Bethel Twp. E.M.S. arrived and advised county dispatch that there was double entrapment and requested Rescue 10 to expedite.  Crews from all companies performed the extrication from both vehicles in just under 30 minutes. Companies on scene; 41, 10, Berks 53, Amb.190, Medic 12, Life Lion…
