Residential Structure Fire

12/08/2009 shortly before 19:30 hours Engines 10 & 10-1 were alerted to assist with a structure fire on Quarry Rd. in Swatara Twp. Chief 47 (Kreitzer) arrived on scene and advised of heavy smoke coming from the structure. Engine 10 arrived and was assigned to assist Co, 47 with interior attack and initiated a supply line between Engine 10-1 and PT 47. Crews were on the scene for about 4 hours. Also on scene Co.47 (Bunkerhill Fire), Co.42 (Glenn Lebanon), 12 (Ono), 41 (Fredericksburg), 7(Waterworks), 43(Rural Security), 11(Lickdale).

Fatal Tractor Trailer Accident with Fire

11/13/2009 – Shortly after 03:00 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist with a Tractor Trailer accident on I-78 at mile marker 2 in Union Twp. Chief 11(Snyder) arrived on scene and advised of 2 tractor trailers involved and fully involved in fire. The crew from Rescue 10 was assigned to assist with extinguishment and spill control. The Rescue was on scene for over 3 hours. Also on scene – Station 11(Lickdale Fire), Engine 12(Ono fire), PT 46(Green Point fire), Tanker 41(Fredericksburg Fire), QRS 6(Bellegrove Fire) Hazmat 50(Lebanon County Hazmat).

Auto Accident

09/16/2009 – At 12:30 Hours Company 10 was alerted to an auto accident in the 100 block of west Market St. in Jonestown Borough.  Assistant10 (Showers) arrived on location and advised incoming units that there was no entrapment and crews were assigned to handle a small amount of fluids leaking from the vehicle. Company 10 personnel were on the scene for about an hour.

Aircraft Down

09/09/2009 – Shortly after 14:00 hours Co.10 was alerted to assist with an aircraft down at 131 S. Center St. in Bethel Twp. Engine 41-1 arrived on scene and found the pilot to be out of the plane and relatively uninjured, However those photo’s were taken just prior to the box being placed into service. Also units dispatched were C0. 41, 40,47,10,11, Crash 75, Berks 53 and FASP.

Auto Accident with Entrapment

09/01/2009 – Just after 09:00 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist with an accident with entrapment on Suedberg in Union Twp. Chief 46(Light) arrived on scene and advised of 6 patients and confirmed entrapment.  Rescue 10 was assigned to perform extrication with assistance from the crew from Engine 41-1. Crews were on scene for about 3 hours. Also on scene Sta.46 (Greenpoint fire), Engine 11(Lickdale fire), Engine 41-1(Fredericksburg Fire), Life Lion (University Hospital aero medical), Amb190, Medic 12, Amb.75

Structure Fire in Lebanon City

07/28/2009 – Just after 04:00 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist Lebanon City Fire with a structure fire at 701 Lehman Street at the A & M pizza restaurant. Commissioner 15(Fisher) assigned the crew from Rescue 10 to act as a Rapid Intervention Team (R.I.T.). The Rescue was on scene for about an hour and a half. Also on scene Lebanon Bureau of Fire.

Water Rescue

7/12/2009 – Just after 14:00 hours Company 10 was alerted to a Water rescue at the low head dam just off Salmon Hole lane in Union Township.  Chief 10(Bachman) arrived on scene and confirmed that 2 rafts and approximately 9 people were caught in the hydraulic of the low head dam. Rescue 10 and Boat 10 responded and were assigned to deploy the boat from the Market Street boat launch. Boat 10 made 3 trips and rescued all 9 people without injury. Crews were on the scene for about an hour.

Tractor Trailer over an Embankment

07/01/2009 – Just before 06:00 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist with an auto accident on Interstate 81 just south of Interstate 78 in Union Township. Chief 11(Snyder) responded and was advised by County that a Tractor Trailer was down an embankment and that the driver was out of the vehicle. Rescue 10 was assigned to assist with extricating the drive from the bottom of the embankment and also to assist with spill control of a large diesel fuel spill. Also the Rescue assisted the Hazmat team with ropes and rigging to allow them to traverse the embankment. The Rescue was on scene for just over 2 hours.  Also on scene Station 11(Lickdale Fire) And Lebanon County Hazmat Station 50.

Commercial Structure Fire

06/06/2009 – Shortly before 17:00 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist with a commercial structure fire at 589 Freeport road in Bethel Twp. Rescue 10 was assign to assist with overhaul and extinguishment, the rescue was on scene for about 3 hours. Also on scene were crews from the following companies – 40(Mt. Zion), 29(Prescott), 32(Kutztown), 41(Fredericksburg), 42(Glenn Lebanon), 43(Rural Security), 50(Lebanon County Hazmat).

Tractor Trailer overturned with Fire!

04/27/2009 – Shortly before 06:00 hours Rescue 10 was alerted to assist with a Tractor Trailer overturned on Interstate 81 north bound at mile marker 81 in East Hanover Township. Chief 12(Hetrick) was advised by county that they were receiving numerous calls that the truck was on fire and Chief 12 advised there was a column of smoke visible while enroute. Chief 12 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire. Rescue 10 was assigned to assist with patient care and extinguishment of the fire.  Rescue 10 was on scene for over an hour. Also on scene – Co.12 (Ono Fire), Co.75 (Ft. Indiantown Gap Fire), Dauphin Co.39 (Grantville Fire).

Auto Accident with Confinement!

03/15/2009 - At 23:30 hours Engine & Rescue 10 were alerted to an auto accident at N. Lancaster St. & Mowery Rd. in Swatara Township. Chief 10(Bachman) arrived and advised of a vehicle on its side with 2 patients confined in the vehicle. Rescue 10 was assigned to perform stabilization and extrication and was assisted by crews from company 47! Extrication was completed in about 25 minutes and Company 10 was back in quarters by 00:30 hours. Also on scene – Sta.47, Amb.196, Medic 12

Another Structure Fire

02/16/2009 – Shortly before 01:00 Company 10 was alerted to assist with a Commercial structure fire at 3275 Rt.72 in Union Twp. Chief 11 (Snyder) arrived on scene and advised of smoke showing from the structure. Crews from Engine and Rescue 10 were assigned to assist with extinguishment and overhaul, while Engine 10-1 was assigned to set up a tanker fill site at the hydrant at Tyco Electronics plant. Crews were on scene for just over 2 hours. Units on scene Co.11(Lickdale Fire), Co.7(Waterworks Fire) Co.12(Ono fire), Co.41(Fredericksburg Fire), Co.46(Greenpoint Fire), Co.47(Bunkerhill Fire), Co.75(Ft. Indiantown Gap Fire).

Structure Fire in East Hanover

02/10/2009 – Shortly before 20:30 hours Company 10 was alerted to assist with a residential structure fire at 1859 Blacks Bridge Rd. in E. Hanover Twp.  Company 10 units assisted with establishing a water supply and also with extinguishment and overhaul. Crews remained on the scene for over 4 hours. Units on scene Co.12(Ono Fire),Co.1(Palmyra Fire), Co.6(Bellegrove Fire), Co.7(Waterworks fire), Co.11(Lickdale Fire), Co.47(Bunkerhill Fire), Dauphin Co.39(Grantville Fire)

Structure Fire in Fredericksburg!

01/27/2009 – Shortly before 23:00 hours Company 10 was alert to assist at a structure fire at 128 E. Main St in Bethel Twp. Engine 41-1 arrived on scene and advised county of working fire. Company 10 personnel assisted with extinguishment and ventilation. Crews remained on the scene for about 3 hours. Units on the scene Co.41, Co.11, Co.47, Trk.12, Amb.190
